Economic Development

Center Point Economic Overview

The state of Alabama ranks as one of the best places in the country to live and do business and Center Point is no exception.

We are 12 miles north of downtown Birmingham, which puts us in a prime location to benefit from the multiple forms of transportation, highly skilled labor and plentiful job opportunities that are available.

We recognize that an educated workforce is critical to the success of any business.  That's why we feel fortunate to be within commuting distance of seven colleges and universities, including Jefferson State Community College and University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Growing Commerce

Businesses interested in locating or expanding to Center Point can expect to receive a hearty welcome from city officials along with a wide range of support from the County.

When you make the decision to grow in Center Point, you'll join an expanding list of businesses that have discovered the benefits of becoming part of a forward-thinking community.

The city partners with the Chamber of Commerce to attract and retain value-added businesses to the area. The City offers assistance through many different avenues with the primary objective of creating high-quality jobs and community development.
