Council Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. If you would like to address the council, fill out a request to speak form and turn it into the City Clerk prior to the meeting.

2. Are Veterans Memorial Stones still available?

Yes, order forms are available at City Hall via the City Clerk’s Office, you may also email reception for a copy.

3. Does Center Point have a Neighborhood Watch Program?: Yes, meetings are held on the 1^st Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in City Hall. For more information visit the Neighborhood Watch page or call Tim Gann at 205-853-9711.

4. Who do I call for household/debris removal service?: Waste Management may be contacted via phone at 205-640-7000.

Waste Management Service includes removal of household garbage, limbs, bagged leaves, etc. If there is ever a question as to whether Waste Management will or will not pick up a certain item please contact them. Waste Management will make arrangements to deliver a 95-gallon can.

8. The neighbors never cut their grass. Who do I call?: Contact City Hall or the Clerk’s Office. You may also print out and manually submit a Complaint Form (PDF) to City Hall.

9. Who do I contact about Fire Dues?: Call the Center Point Fire Business Office at 205-853-5098.

10. Is the Jefferson County Courthouse in Center Point open?: Yes, you may renew your vehicle tags at this location. Please call them at 205-714-7175 to check on other services they may offer.

11. How do I know what school my child is zoned for?: Visit the Jefferson County Board of Education website or call them at 205-379-2000.

12. Who do I call for Animal Control?

Please call City Hall at 205-854-4460, we will turn your requests over to Animal Control.

Please note Animal Control only picks up domestic animals (cats and dogs).

13. An animal is loose in the neighborhood and is posing an immediate threat. What can be done now?: If ever there is an immediate threat (i.e. the animal is growling, chasing, & holding you at bay), call Jefferson County Sheriff Dispatch at 205-325-1450.

14. Does the Center Point Post Office have a direct phone number?: Yes, the Center Point Post Office may be reached at 205-856-2303.

15. How can I find out who owns a property?: Contact the Jefferson County Tax Assessors office at 205-325-5505.

16. Do I need a permit to have a yard sale?: We do not require a permit to have a yard sale, however, there are rules regarding where signs can be placed. Please contact City Hall for further information.

17. What can be done about an animal being mistreated?: If an animal is being seriously mistreated (i.e. no shelter, food, water etc.), call Jefferson County Sheriff Dispatch at 205-325-1450.
